Liberating Leadership – Cohort I
Program Overview:
An intentional community for nonprofit executive directors to deepen relationships with peers who are actively trying to shift their own organization’s culture. In this space individuals will share challenges as well as best practices learned through their own social justice journey. The Liberating Leadership Cohort will also create a common language around experiences of privilege and oppression and how they manifest in nonprofits. In addition to learning through the cohort space, participants will also have access to four coaching hours each with a Facilitate Change coach to hold their individual learning and growth journey. There will be six monthly four-hour retreats from January through June and the coaching hours will be spread throughout the six month experience. Max eight participants.

We want to ensure that this Liberating Leadership Cohort is financially accessible while still fairly compensating our facilitators for their labor. While the total program cost at our Sustain Rate comes to $48,482.50, that cost amongst 8 participants evenly would still come to a rather inaccessible $6,060.31 per participant. For this reason, we are offering a tiered cost breakdown based on the organization’s budgets and highest paid staff salary.
We ask that accepted individuals select a tuition rate from the tiered breakdown below that best reflects their organization’s financial situation. There is no application fee. Facilitate Change will reserve at least one spot per tier.
- Redistribute – $7,060
- For organizations with annual budgets above $5 million.
- The highest paid staff member is paid more than $150,000/year (FTE)
- Vision – $6,060
- For organizations with annual budgets between $1.2 and $5 million
- The highest paid staff member is paid between $90,000-$150,000/year (FTE)
- Sustain – $5,060
- For organizations with annual budgets between $600,000 and $1.2 million
- The highest paid staff member is paid between $70,000-$90,000/year (FTE)
- Solidarity – $3,060
- For organizations with annual budgets up to $600,000
- The highest paid staff member is paid less than $70,000/year (FTE) or there are no staff members
